Early praise for Tyler Ramsey's 'A Long Dream About Swimming Across the Sea' due out January 15th from Echo Mountain Records!
Sterogum calls him an Artist to Watch: "Asheville-based finger-picking multi-instrumentalist Tyler Ramsey reminds us of both Ryan Adams and Red House Painters, depending on his intonations and the sorts of sadness he weaves into his instrumentation. He's sad, but more outwardly expressive: There's a ragged blues to Ramsey's voice as well as his guitar playing, which really opens up and stretches out on tracks like "Birdwings," where he'd work well as a chaser to Leo Kottke or something you'd unearth on Tompkins Square."

songs:Illinois says Ramsey is "one to beat in 2008" : "...the boozy delivery on "No One Goes Out Anymore" combined with the slight gauzy film on top of the fuzzy guitar makes it one to beat in 2008."

WINTERPILLS are thrilled to announce that they have joined the roster of SKYLINE MUSIC for booking! They are in great company with Over the Rhine, Michelle Shocked, Lee "Scratch" Perry and many other fine folks.

Patty Larkin Readies 'Watch The Sky' for January 2008 Release. Patty Larkin is an accomplished and innovative singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with ten solo recordings to her credit. She returns in 2008 with Watch The Sky (Vanguard Records). A follow-up to her critically received RED=LUCK (Beautiful- VANITY FAIR, Absolutely Stunning, BILLBOARD), REGROOVING THE DREAM (Top 10- BOSTON GLOBE, NY TIMES) and PERISHABLE FRUIT (Top 10- WALL STREET JOURNAL), Larkin's SKY is ambient, ambitious and it strikes a chord. Written over the course of one winter in a barn on Cape Cod, SKY was recorded and assembled as one long stream of consciousness piece. Her first project since producing her groundbreaking LA GUITARA, a compilation of multi-genre international women guitarists, this new intimate work finds Larkin digging deep as an instrumentalist, producer, songwriter and now engineer, who uses technology as a part of her artistic expression.
